Spores of pink oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus djamor) are embedded in a printed structure enriched with nutrient components. As the mycelium grows within the walls of isolated sculptural elements, it serves as a bioindicator. Considering the fungi's ability to solve a wide range of computational tasks (Dehshibi, Adamatzky 2021), the properties of fungi can be utilized as a biosensor capable of receiving and transmitting information from a synthetic object to an automated machine system.
